Who we are
A Proud Part of the Moose Fraternity Since 1888
Winder Moose Lodge 262 is your local chapter of the Moose, a fraternal and service organization founded in 1888 with a vision: “A burden heavy to one is borne lightly by many.”
We’re neighbors, friends, and volunteers dedicated to serving our community and making Winder a better place to live.
Our Guiding Mission
Serve Our Community: Through fundraisers, local partnerships, and volunteer projects, Lodge 262 brings Moose’s commitment to community action just like Moose International’s national “Heart of the Community” programs, contributing over $75 million in service annually
Support Youth and Seniors: We support national Moose initiatives Mooseheart Child City & School in Illinois and Moosehaven retirement community in Florida reflecting our belief in caring for people of all ages
Foster Fellowship: From social events to family dinners, member meetings to live entertainment, Lodge 262 is a place where friendships flourish, memories are made, and everyone feels welcomed
What We Do Locally
At Lodge 262, each day brings opportunity:

Member gatherings, leadership involvement, and meaningful social events
“In our local Lodges, you will find a wide array of activities … holiday parties, dances, sports, themed dinners and live entertainment,” says Moose International
