Membership Requirements

To qualify for membership, applicants must meet these criteria:

Be 21 years of age or older
Possess good moral character and belief in a Supreme Being
Not be affiliated with a terrorist organization
Not be a registered sex offender or convicted felon (unless legally pardoned or granted dispensation)
Never have been expelled, suspended, or had an original application rejected by another Lodge/Chapter

How to Apply

Find a Sponsor
An active member of Lodge 262 must sign as your sponsor—and, if required, a second member endorses your application.
Complete the Official Application
Use the downloadable PDF, ensuring you sign both the front and the “Obligation of Membership” on the back.
Submit & Pay Fees
Return your application with appropriate fees to Lodge 262. (Dues payment details available below.)
Attend Orientation & Review
Applications are reviewed, then voted on during a Lodge meeting. Prospective members may attend an orientation session or membership conferral afterward.

What Happens Next

Membership Vote
Approved by a simple majority vote at a regular Lodge meeting.
Enrollment or Conferral
Male applicants complete a Moose Legion conferral ceremony; female applicants are enrolled in their chapter.
Receive Your Membership Card
Moose International mails your official membership card once enrollment is processed.

After Joining

Access member resources, Lodge updates, meeting schedules, and volunteer opportunities through our Current Members page.
Enjoy all Lodge privileges—except immediate voting rights; new members must wait until after official enrollment and ceremony.

Dues, Life Membership, and Transfer Options

Annual Dues
Billed on your membership anniversary date; payable online or via mail/at the Lodge.

Life Membership
One-time lifetime dues based on age and longevity.
Transferring Membership
Possible to transfer to Lodge 262 from another unit. Requires a $20 transfer fee and approval
